Constant candidate Sharon Anderson may or may not live within Ward 2 -- she has refused to divulge her current home address -- but she lists her former residence in the 1000 block of Summit Avenue for candidate filing purposes.
Anderson blames the city, county and court system for evicting her from the property in 1988, and she says government has reduced her to poverty and impounded her car. She maintains she has run for public office every year since the early 1970s, including the office of U.S. President in 1992.
She has never won an election. In 2013, when she sought the St. Paul mayor's seat, she referred to St. Paul and Minneapolis as "Sodom and Gomorrah" and reiterated her opposition to gay marriage. She frequently files handwritten legal claims against judges, prosecutors, elected officials and banks.
